Original Artists' Posters

Many of the world's leading artists have enjoyed making posters for their exhibitions.

These often took the form of original lithographs or screenprints, printed by some of the great Parisian ateliers.

The poster, by nature, is ephemeral and mint copies are rare so we are delighted to offer you these beautiful examples.

Paul Klee portraitPaul Klee was a painter born in Münchenbuchsee, Switzerland, and is considered to be a Swiss German. He was originally associated with the German Expressionist group Der Blaue Reiter, and subsequently taught at the Bauhaus, the widely influential German art school of the interwar period.

Klee participated in and was influenced by a range of artistic movements, including surrealism, cubism and expressionism. He taught in Germany until 1933, when the Nazis declared his work indecent. The Klee family fled to Switzerland, where Paul Klee died on June 29, 1940.
