Original Artists' Posters

Many of the world's leading artists have enjoyed making posters for their exhibitions.

These often took the form of original lithographs or screenprints, printed by some of the great Parisian ateliers.

The poster, by nature, is ephemeral and mint copies are rare so we are delighted to offer you these beautiful examples.
 
Alexander CalderAlexander Calder, August 22, 1898 – November 11, 1976 was an American sculptor known as the originator of the mobile, a type of moving sculpture made with delicately balanced or suspended shapes that move in response to touch or air currents. Calder’s monumental stationary sculptures are called stabiles.

Calder also produced wire figures, which are like drawings made in space, and notably a miniature circus work that was performed by the artist. First one-man exhibition at the Weyhe Gallery, New York, 1928. Between 1928-33 he lived mainly in Paris, where he became friendly with Miró and Pascin, and joined the grou
