Original Artists' Posters

Many of the world's leading artists have enjoyed making posters for their exhibitions.

These often took the form of original lithographs or screenprints, printed by some of the great Parisian ateliers.

The poster, by nature, is ephemeral and mint copies are rare so we are delighted to offer you these beautiful examples.

Description

Original lithographic poster commissioned by the French Office for Tourism to promote Dufy's exhibition at the Musée National d'Art Moderne. Published by Mourlot, Paris.

The image is taken from a 1930's work and is typical of the cheerful oils and watercolors Dufy created. His infamous delight in rich colour, linear shape and the equine form are elements for which this French artist is most readily associated.
